Sorry that I have been a little MIA here for a while!  These last few weeks of school have been crazy to say the least!  But I just keep telling myself I only have one more week of being a history major.  Well, life's been great.  I have so much to be grateful for in my life right now.  I have the best family and friends a girl couple ask for.  Well here are some pictures from thanksgiving break and such.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Prom my junior year in high school
So today is my dads birthday, and I know it's a little late in the day but I want to post this anyways.  I'm feeling a little guilty right now because it took me till 6:30 to call and wish him happy birthday!  To make things worse, he told the family that I forgot, but little did he know I didn't!  I was writing an essay this morning and was thinking about how I wished I was going home today so I could be there to celebrate.  But then after finishing one essay, taking 3 quizzes, studying for a test, and working on my ten page research essay, I forgot to call him.  So I am currently feeling like the worst daughter in the world, but I will make it up to him.  I just want to say that my dad is the most amazing dad, man, boss, husband, and priesthood leader.  There has never been a time in my life when I questioned if he loved me.  I look at how he treats my mom and just pray that someday I will be able to find someone even remotely similar to him.  I count my blessings everyday that I was born into his family.  Even when I'm living in a different state, I still know he's looking out for me.  Wow, I'm quite the cry baby as I sit here thinking about my dad!  But if he ever reads this, I want him to know how much I love and appreciate him.  I really do have the best dad in the world!  And I can't wait to see everyone back at home, since I get back tomorrow!  And hope you all enjoy the random pictures!

Conference and such

So I decided that since I hate when other people don't update, I am going to try and be better.  Well, everything is great here in Provo.  I'm glad to say that its still not very cold!  I guess this was the warmest Halloween Provo has had in years.  During the day, it has been in the high 60s, so I am not complaining.  You all know how excited I am for it to start snowing everyday...  School has been pretty rough, but I guess it is interesting haha.  No, I love most of my classes, they just are extremely time consuming.  And I'm thinking of changing majors, so my freakishly  hard history classes don't really have a purpose anymore.  So I'm taking STATS this semester, and lets just say it's not my favorite class.  I was talking to a friend last night, and he was telling me how it's not too bad of a class, and it's pretty easy to get an A.  Then, he looks at me and asked if I agreed.  Well, lets just say that class is not my strong point!  I study for hours before taking a test, think I know everything, and walk away with a solid C if I'm lucky.  haha but hey, it was rated one of the 10 hardest classes at BYU so whatever!  I'm just going to live by my mom's motto of C's get degrees.  Everything else in life is going great!  Sophmore year is a lot more low key than Freshman year.  I spend a ton more time studying and at the library.  I am on a way better sleeping schedule (I don't think I could live on another year of no sleep), and i actually eat real food!  It's great to be in an apartment with a kitchen!  Well I'm sorry this is so long!  Just thought you all were dying for a little update on my life!  I know I know, nothing too exciting!  But here are some pictures from conference(which was great of course) and just a few other things.

Back in Provo!

So, sorry it has been so long since I posted last!  But I promise to do better now that I'm back up here in Utah.  Well, everything's going great.  I really do love living here, even though I miss everyone at home!  School's alot harder this year, but I'm actually enjoying it.  I'm realizing just how much reading is required to be a history major!  And of course, we have been doing a on of fun things too.  Just to name a few, I have gone to football games, went to hot springs, went hiking, watched movies, and went to a wedding, and so much more.  And I almost forgot, I am playing on a BYU intermural flag football team.  It is so much fun!  We struggle, but so does everyone else so we are undefeated so far.  Well I love you all and hope everything is going great!  Sorry some of the pictures are so small.  I tried getting them off facebook, and am still trying to figure that out.

Brooke's birthday dinner!

Amy's model shot (I don't know how to change the order of pictures)

So, life's been pretty eventful up here in Provo!  A couple weeks ago, Katie came up and visited us!  We had a little breakfast party and had so much fun.  Then, it was Brooke's birthday on Wedneday.  We went to Kneaders for breakfast, went to school, and then went to dinner with a big group of us.  Her mom ordered this clown to come and sing to her and it turned out to be so funny.  After dinner, we had a little party with cake and ice cream.  Then, Thursday night we decided to go 80's dancing again before the year was over.  My favorite part of the night is getting ready.  I made everyone take model shots, and thought they were funny.  To top of the week, we went to a concert up and the U tonight.  It was Augustana, Hellogoodbye, and Shiny toy guns.  It was such a fun concert!  It was weird going to another college campus because I'm so used to peaceful and calm BYU.  I can't believe I'm coming home in 2 weeks!  Although I have had such a fun Freshman year, I'm so excited to come home for a few months.  Can't wait to see everyone!

Just some random pictures from the passed couple months.  Sorry everyone that it has taken me so long to update!  Life has been going great up here.  I'm not loving school, but the fun is making up for it.  I am training for a half marathon, so thats been going good.  I love having something to work for, instead of just running because I know I should.  I can't wait for it to be warm!  I'm so sick of this cold weather, but at least it's getting better.

Winter!

It's been so cold up here! Things have been pretty crazy. I went snowboarding with Jamie and Josh, and it was so much fun. For the first time in 5 years, it turned out a lot better than I expected! Then, Sunday was Amy's birthday so we celebrated all weekend! On Saturday, we all went out to dinner to Magelby's. Then on Sunday we had a little party for her at Brooke's apartment. okay, so heres the coolest thing we have done. After seeing 27 dresses on Thrusday, we got asked to be extras on the movie "American Mall" that they were filming at Provo Town Center. So, yesterday Bridgette Bunker, Brooke, Court, Amy, Hayley Madson, and I all went to be extras. Lets just say it was the longest day of my life! We spent most of the time waiting around but it was cool seeing how everything works. The only person we had heard of from the movie was Neil from "So you Think You Can Dance." We will just have to wait and see if we make it onto the movie! Hope everyone's doing great at home!
